PocketCards - How do I get my card(s) posted here?

PocketCard Approval and Posting Process

FireDanger Subcommittee (FDSC)

Updated February, 2011

Creators

Step 1. Local unit produces/updates PocketCard(s) following standards and guidelines described on the NWCG FAMWEB PocketCard Web Page. Preferred format for the PocketCard is PNG, JPG or PDF. Assistance in creating a PocketCard can be obtained from your Agency Approver or any member of the FDSC

Step 2. Save your pocket card to the appropriate unit folder using the following file naming convention:
YEAR_STATE_UNIT_FDRA_INDICIES_FUEL MODEL
2023_WA_NEWICC_343_ERC_FMX
IF your unit uses names for the FDRA, insert the appropriate name. (valley, east, north, low elevation).  This naming convention helps users find the most recent version, establishes the location it is associated with, notes the indices and fuel model being used.

Step 3. Send the pocket card file to the agency approver identified on the Geographic Leads list.  Contact information for geographic leads can be found here:
